Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy

Scope

Applies to staff, volunteers, partners, sellers and visitors in every activity connected to the Foundation, including the Ikorodu/Imota orphans home project.

Commitments

• Background checks for anyone working with children
• Never be alone with a child out of sight of others
• No identifiable images of children without guardian consent
• Information about children is stored separately with restricted access

Reporting

Every concern must be reported to the Safeguarding Lead within 24 hours through Report a Problem (marked sensitive) or by phone. Reports can be anonymous.

Response

Concerns are investigated confidentially, the child's safety comes first, and serious matters are referred to the police and relevant Lagos State authorities.
