Donation Policy

Pledges and gifts

Amounts recorded on the website are pledges. A pledge becomes a donation once the Foundation confirms the funds were received and issues a receipt.

Use of funds

• Restricted gifts are used only for the campaign chosen
• Unrestricted gifts support programmes where need is greatest
• If a campaign is fully funded or cancelled, donors are told how surplus funds will be used

Transparency

Campaign budgets, amounts raised and amounts spent are published on campaign and Impact pages.

Refusing gifts

We decline gifts that create conflicts of interest, come from unlawful sources, or carry conditions that harm beneficiaries.
